About SOA and Enterprise Architecture Modeling

The more I teach SOA and Enterprise Architecture Modeling the more I find out that people are being taught a lot of incorrect information regarding best practices in these two subject areas. Perhaps I should say that too many times best practices are often ignored in this area. Software sellers or companies are often too eager to sell their products and offer educational assistance in these areas to make the sale, often passing on information that is not accurate in the industry. These sales people usually have limited education in SOA or EAM and you cannot depend on this kind of education for your enterprise architecture modeling accuracy on which you will implement the SOA.
So before you spend months doing it the wrong way, find out how to do this correctly from the start.
