PMI-ACP(R) FAQ
What is PMI-ACP® Certification Versus Scrum Master? (Updated 11-22-2020)

PMI-ACP(R) Certification stands for PMI Agile Certified Practitioner(R). It is above Scrum Master as a Scrum Master is just an Agile PM. The Agile Certified Practitioner thoroughly understands all industry best practices for agile, all accepted methodologies besides Scrum, and all roles, such as Developer, Agile PM or Product Owner. Besides, it is a certification of the PMI organization and has the same elevated standing of the PMP(R) Certification, PMI-PBA Certification, PgMP Certification and so forth.

What if I don't have any Agile Experience but I have project management experience?

You need the qualifying experience to take the PMI-ACP(R) exam. in order to take the and exam, then do that first as about 50% of the course curriculum is about Agile and Agile/Hybrid, although the PMP(R) does not get into all the methodologies.
